When private equity firms BC Partners and Medina Capital acquired CenturyLink's colocation portfolio in 2017, they combined the assets gained to create a brand new company called Cyxtera Technologies. Cyxtera is a global colocation business with more than 60 data centers in 29 markets. The company offers highly secure solutions to meet strict requirements such as those expected in financial and government entities. Cyxtera Technologies is headquartered out of Coral Gables, Florida and is comprised of Cryptzone, Catbird, Easy Solutions, and Brainspace to offer a reliable and cloud-ready infrastructure platform for more than 3,500 customers.
